Current sale

Optional. Bill 555: type -55 for 500, or 45 for 600 (round figure). Works with the discount and tax boxes.

To sell on credit, enter less than the total. If the customer gives more than the total, the change to return is shown and printed on the bill.

Add part

Choose Litre for loose oil. Then you can sell 3.5 L, and stock and price are counted per litre.

Export inventory

The file is a CSV that opens in Excel. It includes SKU, name, category, vehicle fit, bin, cost, price, stock, reorder level, stock value and status.

Import inventory

Use a CSV file with a header row. The easiest way to get the right layout is to use Export first and edit that file. Columns recognised: SKU, Part, Category, Fits, Bin, Cost, Price, In stock, Reorder level. Back up with Export before a big import.

Choosing a part updates your inventory: selling to the shop lowers stock, buying from the shop adds stock.

Backup and security

Back up all data

Saves parts, sales, customers, ledgers, jobs and shop details to one file. Last backup:

You need this password to restore the file. Keep the file on a USB drive or cloud storage, not only on this PC.

Restore from a backup

Replaces all current data with the backup (and, if live sync is on, on your other device too). Download a backup of the current data first if you may need it.

Live sync (PC and phone)

Off

Sales, jobs, stock, customers and dealers are kept the same on the PC and the phone through your Google Drive, automatically, a few seconds after every change.

Encrypt saved data

When on, everything saved on this PC is scrambled with your software password, so someone who copies the data folder cannot read it. The password is also asked every time the software opens.

If you forget the password, the data cannot be opened by anyone. Make a backup first, and keep the password written down.

Cloud sync

One-time setup (about 5 minutes, free). Do this once, then use the same Client ID on the PC and the phone:

  1. Open console.cloud.google.com and create a project.
  2. APIs and Services, Library: enable Google Drive API.
  3. OAuth consent screen: type External, open Data access and add the scope .../auth/drive.appdata (also add drive.file if you like), then press Publish app (so the sign-in does not expire after 7 days).
  4. Credentials, Create credentials, OAuth client ID, type TVs and Limited Input devices.
  5. Paste the Client ID and Client secret below, press Sign in with Google, then enter the code on google.com/device with the Google account you want to use. Sign in with the same Google account on the PC and the phone.

Use the same software password on every device. The cloud copy is encrypted with it.
